Posture 19 Zhǒu Dǐ Kàn Quán

Instruction 1 (Fig 7-171,172) The body turns a little to the right then turns to the left. The left hand arcs down to the side of the left hip. The right palm rotates out and arcs up to the upper right at shoulder height.

Instruction 2 (Fig 7-l73) The body continues turning left, the left palm rotates in and arcing upward to above the head. The right palm arcs downward to below the right hip.

Instruction 3 (Fig 7-174,175) The body turns right and sinks. With the left hand pointing up the elbow bends and sinks to in front of the left chest. The right palm is made into a fist, moves inward passing in front of the abdomen, then rising comes together with the left elbow the fist facing inward. (Facing East)

Note: At the same time that the body changes from turning left to turning right, the hands change from nì reeling to shùn reeling, and from open to closed. When practicing, pay attention to the waist dropping and the qi sinking to dan tian. Not only are the elbow and fist coordinated, but the whole body rising and falling is all coordinated.
