Instruction 2 (Fig 7-322a/b,323,324 ) Lift the left foot and kick out fast to the left side. At the same time the hands push out to both sides with force. The left foot immediately relaxes and drops. The hands rotate in and are brought in slightly. (Facing North)

Note: When the two fists come together, the crooks of the arms have the intent of double opening. The knees are slightly closed. The hips are relaxed and open. Lifting the foot and covering with the arms is the storing. The qi sinks to the dan tian. With the kick, the enery must be crisp, requiring the whole body to be coordinated. The supporting leg controls the center of gravity. The toes grasp the ground, the sole of the foot is empty.
