Posture 13 Yǎn Shǒu Gōng Quán

Instruction 1 (Fig 8-131,132,133) The right fist circles out upward tracing a circle to the right ribs, palm facing up; the left fist changing to a palm péngs to the left front, palm facing up. Simultaneously raise the right foot and stomp to the ground, following immediately with raising the left leg and stepping out to the front. Eyes to the front. (Facing Southeast)

Instruction 2 (Fig 8-134) The body turns left, the center of gravity quickly moves left. Simultaneously the right fist circles in and strikes out to the front, the fist facing down and level with the shoulders. The left elbow with the same speed strikes outs to the left rear, the left hand brought in beside the ribs. Eyes to the right front.

Note: The right fist striking to the front and the left elbow striking to the rear must be thoroughly coordinated. In fā jìn one must seek "Energy rising from the heels, moving through the legs, control in the waist, firing through the small joints".

Posture 14 Yāo Lán Zhǒu

Instruction 1 (Fig 8-135,136) The right foot is raised, simultaneously the right arm elbow bent is brought in to in front of the right chest, the left hand coordinately stretches to the front. (Facing East)
