Repeat the above move three times, three cross-steps.
Note:
1. This posture with the continuous toe stepping and the hands arcing up and down, left and right, requires thorough-going coordination, and control of the center of gravity.
2. Pay attention the hips maintaining a stable bowing, but do not go too deep, as that will cause the movement to be forced.
Instruction 1 (Fig 8-160) The body turns left, the center of gravity shifts left, the right foot continues the toe step, the hands continue arcing.
Instruction 2 (Fig 8-161) The center of gravity moves to the right foot, the left foot takes a large horizontal step left. Simultaneously the body turns right, the left hand péngs up, the right palm circles in and sinking arcs to above and in front of the right knee. Eyes to the lower right.
Instruction 3 (Fig 8-161) The center of gravity moves to the left leg, the right foot is drawn in, the ball of the foot touching down. Simultaneously the left palm circles inward and is drawn in, the right palm circles in and following above the leg is brought in to in front of the abdomen.
Instruction 4 (Fig 8-163) The center of gravity does not change, the right foot continues to be brought in, changing from ball of the foot touching ground to the heel, the toes pointing up. Simultaneously the right palm circles in and is raised to the front of the body, the left palm circles to in front of the chest, the palms facing opposite each other, the body slightly squatting, the wrists with a bit of sitting-wrist and sinking.
