Prepare (Fig 6-1) Stand erect, eyes level, lips lightly closed, teeth lightly together. (Face South)
Instruction 1 (Fig 6-2) Slowly lower the body.

Instruction 2 (Fig 6-3) Raise the left heel.
Instruction 3 (Fig 6-4) Open the left foot horizontally to shoulder width.
Instruction 4 (Fig 6-5) With both feet steady, center the weight between the legs.

Instruction 1 (Fig 6-6) Both hands slowly rise to shoulder level and shoulder width.
Instruction 2 (Fig 6-7) Sinking the body, lower the hands to in front of the abdomen.
Instruction 3 (Fig 6-8, 9) Turning the body slightly left, the left hand rotates out, the right hand rotates in, and both move to level with the left shoulder, the center tending to the right.
