Instruction 10 (Figure 9-24) Right foot trembles and lands, while the right fist falls into the left palm, center of gravity remains unchanged.

Note: The function of trembling the foot is to make the entire body's qi sink and is beneficial for blood circulation. The weight of the trembling foot can be determined according to the practitioner's age and physical strength, but regardless of light or heavy, it must be a firm and steady movement. The degree of force can be judged by the sound of the trembling foot. The force of the trembling foot is determined by the practitioner's strength.
All movements in Taijiquan require "sinking shoulders and pressing elbows". "Sinking shoulders" means the shoulders naturally relax and sink. "Pressing elbows" means the elbows remain slightly bent in any movement, not straight, with a sense of relaxed and sinking at the fingertips.
