Instruction 2 (Fig 7-651 to 7-653) The center shifts left, the body turns left. Simultaneously, the fists, left above, right below arc together in front of the chest.

Instruction 3 (Fig 7-654,655) The center shifts right, the body squats down. Simultaneously, the fists are pulled open, the left below, the right above, the left moving to the inside of the left knee, the right moving to the upper right a little higher than the head.

Note: When the center shifts from the left foot to the right foot, and the left foot is stretched to the front, the qì must sink, as the body squats, you must relax the abdomen and drop the hips, descending with the qì. The squatting must still have the intent of being about to spring.

Posture 70 - Shàng Bù Qī Xíng

Instruction 1 (Fig 7-656) The center shift the left leg, the body rises. Simultaneously, the left hand arcs upward from below with a spring a little higher than the shoulder, the right fist moves down to above the right knee.

Instruction 2 (Fig 7-657) Lifting the right foot, step forward to the right front, toes to the ground. Simultaneously, the right fist moves forward and up from below crossing with the left fist in front of the chest. (The right arm is on the outside, body facing due East.)

Note: As the upward surge of the left fist becomes bow step, pay attention to using the yao (waist) and dang (crotch) energy. The body must be relaxed and the shoulders cannot be shrugged.
