Instruction 4 (Fig 7-469,470) Immediately after the hands follow the body as it leads in a slight rise, it squats down.
Instruction 5 (Fig 7-471,472) The hands rise moving in time with the the rising right foot, followed immediately by the left foot jumping slightly, followed immediately by the feet thundering down, both hands pressing down.

Instruction 6 (Fig 7-473) The right hand pushes forward, the left arm is brought in to the rear.
Instruction 7 (Fig 7-474) Raising the left foot, the left hand simultaneously pushes forward, the right arm brought in to the rear.

Instruction 8 (Fig 7-475,476,477) The left foot drops to the ground, the right foot is raised, the body turns 180°, making a large opening to the right.(Facing South)
Note: As the hands cross, and the feet stomp down, the left foot stomps first, the right foot following, the whole body coordinated. When jumping forward with the left foot, the farther you jump the better, this is a form of level longitudinal method (píng zōng fǎ). When the left palm pushes forward, the faster the better. When the left foot is coming down to the front, the center follows quickly, the legs are bent, immediately after which the body turns to the right, the center sinks, the body relaxes, and the hands are coordinated naturally with the body to maintain balance.
