Posture 30 Sǎo Táng Tuǐ

Instruction 1 (Fig 8-317 to 320) The body quickly lowers to the right, the center of gravity shifts to the right leg, the palms following the body turning right are placed on the ground in front of the right foot for support. Simultaneously squat all the way on the right leg, the left leg extends opening to the right, sweeping a half circle about 180°. (Facing North)

Instruction 2 (Fig 8-321, 322, 323) The body continues turning to the right. Simultaneously the center of gravity shifts to the left leg, fully squatting on the left leg, the right leg extends opening to the rear sweeping a half circle about 180°. (Facing South)

Note: This posture consists of bending down, pressing the ground, first the left leg then the right sweeping out. It must be done fast, fast but not sloppily.

Posture 31 Name

Instruction 1 (Fig 8-324) The body rises, and turns right about 90°. Simultaneously the right leg is brought in a half step to the front, toes touching down. The palms separate the left upward the right downward, the left palm facing up, the right palm facing down. Eyes to the front. (Facing West)

Instruction 2 (Fig 8-325 to 330) The movement is the same as the last half of Posture 29 Yǎn Shǒu Gōng Quán except in the opposite direction. (Facing West)
