Instruction 5 (Fig 6-352, 353) The body continues turning 90° to the left, the center shifts to the right leg. Simultaneously, the left foot is brought in beside the right foot, toes touching the ground. Following the turn of the body, the left palm is brought in below the right elbow.
Instruction 6 (Fig 6-354) The left palm moves left to in front of the left abdomen. Simultaneously, the right palm pushes out to the right, palm facing out. (Facing South)
Note: When the right palm is smoothly reeling to beside the right forehead, the qì must be sticking to the spine, first moving as coiled energy. Only when it is coiled sufficiently and then released will you be able issue a kind of spiraling hidden energy. The right palm pushing out, the left palm reeling smoothly, and the left foot stepping in, these three must all be coordinated. In this posture, before the right hand pushes to Gāo Tàn Mǎ, there must be a posture of complete (all round) support. In the energy of the front to back opening, in the silk reeling there must not be any concave or convex motion or a break in the inner energy (nèi jìn).

Instruction 1 (Fig 6-355, 356) The body turns right then left. The arms come in slightly then open out.
Instruction 2 (Fig 6-357 to 360) The center shifts to the left leg, the right is lifted, the body turns slightly left. Simultaneously, the left hand arcs up and to the left, the right hand arcs down coming together with the left hand in front of the chest.
