Instruction 5 (Fig 6-309, 310) Shift the center left, pushing off with the right leg. Rotate out and raise the left arm. Simultaneously, push out to the left with the right palm to in front of the left ribs. (Face Northwest)

Note: Before the left leg is dug in, make sure that the knees are bent and the hips relaxed, the center sinks, and that opposite reeling of the palms is coordinated with the outward reeling movement of the left leg. In the last movement of this posture, the center changes and the waist twists to issue energy (fā jìn). Do not stop in the middle. It must be completed as a continuous process without any stopping. When shifting the center left, moving off the right leg, to the left bow stance, the right hand passing in front of the chest and pushing out in a fā jìn of short duration. Only with a relaxed waist and rounded crotch, relaxing the left hip, and correctly adjusting the whole body, will you be able to suddenly issue energy in the middle of a continuous motion.

Posture 33 Yún Shǒu

Instruction 1 (Fig 6-311, 312, 313) Turn the body right, shift the center right. Simultaneously, the hands move from left to right, the left to in front of the abdomen, the right to in front of the right chest.
