Posture 31 Shàng Bù Qī Xīng

Instruction 1 (Fig 6-299) Shift the center to the left leg. Simultaneously, rush the left fist up from below to shoulder height and drop the right fist to above the right knee.

Instruction 2 (Fig 6-300) Raising the right foot take a step to the front, toes touching the ground. Simultaneously, raise the right fist to the front past the outside of the left wrist, the two fists crossing at the wrist in front of the chest. (Facing West)

Note:
1. When raising the left fist and moving into the left bow step, pay attention to planting the right leg. Simultaneously, relax the hips and spiral the body upward. Do not lift up.

2. "Shàng Bù Qī Xīng" The intention here is for both feet, both knees, both fists, and the head to resemble the Big Dipper, each doing its part. In moving the fists, you could attack the opponent's chest, pharynx, or throat. Lifting the knee, you could strike the abdomen. With the foot, you could kick to the crotch or hip.

Posture 32 Xiǎo Qín Dǎ

Instruction 1 (Fig 6-301, 302, 303) Shift the center to the right leg, lift the left foot, turn the body slightly right. Open the fists to palms and rotate them in to in front of the right front.
