When practicing, it is like there is someone in front of you. When facing an enemy where there really is someone, it is like there is no one. In front of the face, the hand arrives but is unseen, in front of the chest, the elbow arrives but is unseen. When the hand rises the foot descends, when the foot descends the hand rises.
