Note: This move is linked together, upper moves lower follows, stepping is agile and natural; waving the hands and arms about is like clumsily thrashing, a dust storm disturbing the water.
Instruction 1 (Fig 8-301) The body rises slightly, the right hand circles out arcing upward to péng out.
Instruction 2 (Fig 8-302,303) The hands spiral in closing downward and crossing in front of the abdomen, followed by the palms changing to fists bending upward to in front of the chest. Simultaneously the left leg, knee bent, is raised. Eyes to the left side. (Facing South)
Instruction 3 (Fig 8-304) The body sinks a little, the left foot quickly kicks out to the left side. Simultaneously the fists change to palms and fire out left and right, palms facing slightly down. Eyes to the left side.

Instruction 1 (Fig 8-305) The body turns left 90°, the left foot drops to the ground, the left foot turn out. Simultaneously the hands cross closing in front of the chest. (Facing East)
Instruction 2 (Fig 8-306,307,308) The body continues turning left 90°, the center of gravity shifts to the left leg. The right leg is raised knee bent, and kicks out to the right. The movement is the same as Zuǒ Chōng except the opposite direction. (Facing North)
