Instruction 4 (Fig 8-37..40) The center of gravity moves right, the body first turns left then turns right. At the same time the left hand circles in, moving in a downward arc to the left ribs, the right hand circles out tracing an upper arc to the right side of the body, palm facing out, fingers pointing up.

Instruction 5 (Fig 8-41) The fingers of the left hand cross the waist, the thumb behind. The right palm circles a little in, the palm facing the right front. Relax the shoulders, sink the elbows. Eyes to the right front.
Note: As the right palm opens the fingertips are energized. The left hand on the hip is held there empty. When the right palm is nì reeling to the right and opening, the left leg is energized, the knees and the hips must not be straight. Just upon forming the dìng posture, bow the right leg. When in dìng posture, relax the left hip, the qì sinks to the dān tián.
