Instruction 4 (Fig 6-383, 384) The body turns slightly left, the center shifts to the left leg. Simultaneously, the fists rotate in and with force fire to the left front, palms facing in. (Facing Southwest)

Note: When the fists rotate in and smoothly reel down to the abdomen, you must relax the shoulders and drop the elbows, being sure not to squeeze the elbows. When the fists are fired to the front, pay attention to relaxing the left hip in order to facilitate rotating the hip and turning the back causing the energy to smoothly flow to the fists. In this posture, as to the firing of the fists to the left front, what moves them is quaking energy (dǒu jìn). Dǒu jìn is a short range issuing of energy, and must manifest itself with the kind of start like that which happens when a spark lands on the skin, coming out in one shake.
