Important Note: The motions should be completed while continuously stepping forward. When stepping with the right leg, the center of gravity must be controlled on the left leg, and vice-versa.

Posture 6 - Zuǒ Yǎn Shǒu Gōng Quán

Instruction 1 (Fig 5-60) The left palm changes to a fist and is brought in to in front of the abdomen, the right hand rotates out palm up.

Instruction 2 (Fig 5-61 ) The center of gravity shifts right, the body turns to 80°, the left foot presses to the ground issuing energy (fa li). Simultaneously, the fist fires out with energy to the left front, palm down; the right palm facing inward in brought in to in front of the right chest, the left arm and the right shoulder on a straight line.

Note: When the left leg is pressing to the rear, the waist and the spine turn quickly to the right, causing the qi to reach the left fist.

Posture 7 - Shuāng Tuī Shǒu

Instruction 1 (Fig 5-62) The left fist changes to a palm and rotates in, the body turns slightly left.

Instruction 2 (Fig 5-63) The right hand stretches out toward the front, palm facing out.
