Instruction 1 (Fig 5-22) The hands first rotate out, then rotate in, arching downward to in to in front of the chest.
Instruction 2 (Fig 5-23) Bending the knee, lift the right leg and take a large step horizontally to the right stepping down with the heel.

Instruction 3 (Fig 5-24,25,26) The center of gravity shifts right. Simultaneously, the right hand rotates out and arcs out passing in front of the chest, the left hand moves downward and is brought in to in front of the abdomen.
Instruction 4 (Fig 5-27) The body sinks. Simultaneously, in the right arm, relax the shoulder, drop the elbow, and turn the hand erect. The left hand intersects the waist, thumb to the rear.
Note: As this posture is completed, you must adjust the left wrist, paying attention to adjusting the whole body, so that the entire body is coordinated, the qi sinking to the dan tian. Just as Lǎn Zā Yī is about to take shape, bow the right leg, the right palm developing a rightward reverse reeling. As it opens, the left knee and the left hip must not straighten.
