Instruction 3 (Fig 8-261,262) The body turns left, the center of gravity shifts to the right leg sinking to a full squat, the left foot turns in. Simultaneously following the body turn the right fist arcs upward to the right side of the head, palm facing in. The left fist arcs down to the inside of the left knee, palm facing in. Both fists close energetically. Eyes to the left front. (Facing Northwest)

Note: This posture is a contracting body method, one hand protecting the head, one hand protecting the knee. Eyes are forward, causing the opponent to feel that there is no weakness to exploit.
Instruction 1 (Fig 8-263,264) The center of gravity shifts to the left leg, the left foot turns in, the body turns left 45°. Following the turn left the right leg, knee bent, is raised, the right fist is brought in to in front of the right shoulder, palm facing in. The left fist also coordinating inward is brought in to in front of the chest. Eyes to the front.
Instruction x (Fig 8-265,266) Following the body turning 135°, the right foot descends with a stomp, the left foot is raised and steps forward to the left front. Simultaneously the right fist is brought in to in front of the left chest, palm facing up. The left fist coordinates with the body turning left, palm facing up. Eyes to the front.
